I just realize every week that I am not much of a writer.  I think I am a better photographer than a writer.  I try writing something “interesting” after every wedding, but sometimes there is just too much to say, and sometimes there aren’t a lot to say.  This wedding was one of those where there is so much to say, don’t even know where to start.

Well, firstly, Stefan and Tanya had their reception at KRONENBURG, one of my favourite venues to shoot at.  The food, service and the space of this venue is just awesome.  Not to mention the personal attention from the venue management.  We took some of the photos at Vredenhof and some spectacular “veld” photos at KRONENBURG.

Stefan made the amazing FAIRY LIGHT TREE for the table seating. Decor Lighting and Fireplaces. 

They also had these small flashing LED lights from the Netherlands in balloons.  WOW, this was really awesome.  They gave every guest one balloon.  What a great effect it was.  It was very difficult to take great photos of this because the LED lights were flashing.  So, I used a technique called “Dragging the Shutter” to get the flashing balloons feeling.  Shooting it with a fast shutter would have been too boring.  I hope that you enjoy these, I am quite happy with the results.

Stefan and Tanya also had live entertainment at their wedding.  Sometimes this ended up been not so great, BUT, NIC STEVENS really knows what he is doing.  For sure one of the BEST one man band around.
