What can I say after a perfect winter wedding...  Thank you Lord.  When Zander and Heleen booked me for their wedding, I worried about the weather for that time of the year. 

They wanted their couple photo session on top of the mountain. I went up the mountain before I started with Heleen, and when I saw all the possibilities, I was so excited about the photo session.  This was a photographer's dream venue, but with all the excitement came some pressure.  I was a bit nervous about capturing those views with the couple in a creative and great way.  Well, I am very happy with the results and I just realised again what an amazing job I have.

Zander and Heleen had their reception at BLOMSTOOR near Kleinmond.  What a great venue.  I could have done some more couple photos there, but we did not have time left due to the sunset.

 Heleen got dressed at their beach house in Kleinmond.  I just love this photo with all their holiday photos on the wall with her getting ready in the background.

The bottom pair of shoes was what she wore during the photo session on the mountain.

Tips to all brides: have some comfortable shoes if you plan an adventurous photo session.

 

 To take photos against the sun is easy, to get detail on the couple with some detail in the sky, not so easy.  This is why I love my Pocket Wizzards.  The bottom photo shows the placement of the Pocket Wizzard and the trouble it takes to take it out again :)
